Novel Idea Certification
Novel Idea develops learning and application around Bloom’s Taxonomy. These methods, developed by Benjamin Bloom, categorise the levels of reasoning skills that students use for active learning. Novel Idea uses Bloom’s Taxonomy methods to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity, specificity and mastering.
Novel Idea’s Training, Application, Review and Certification process (Novel Idea TARC) is unique and used to create learning content, application, review-through-assessment and certification that is aligned to Bloom’s Taxonomy.
‘Levels of Cognition’ (from Bloom’s Taxonomy – Revised, 2001) are listed in order from the least complex to the most complex:
Novel Idea Accreditation
Novel Idea is Service SETA Accredited (Number: 1371) and develops certification processes for companies or certifies individuals on the most comprehensive body of knowledge. We believe that Certification should benefit the individual as well as the organisation.
To this end, our certification journey is aligned to the Bloom’s Taxonomy, and we are one of very few Lean Six Sigma providers that certify to a level 5. We believe that application and honing a skill delivers Belts that can execute with confidence and equally be employed with confidence.
For South African companies, we offer a National Certificate (Qualification Code: 59201 National Certificate in Generic Management) as well as a Learning Programme in Strategic Management (60269).
Moreover, since it’s a Learnership, the company can get their investment back and have the programme almost fully funded ( this excludes the benefit delivered from your own projects). Tax benefits can also be claimed on learnerships, and our Learnership Registration No is: 23Q230073291625.
Novel Idea has developed multiple certification journeys for companies and aligned these to Accredited Qualification and Learning Programmes. (A few examples of these companies include: AB InBev, Old Mutual Insure and MTN SSH, to name but a few).
For Global Deployment of Lean Six Sigma, we have the ability to integrate with their body of knowledge and improve on it where we deem it necessary, for better execution of results.
Our founder has more than 21 years of Lean Six Sigma theory and application knowledge and never compromises on quality for the sake of signing off certificates – We believe certification is the recognition of individual level, as well as company level.
Within our own curriculum and certification journey, we do not compromise on quality. This ensures that around the globe, our Belts stand apart from the rest.
We also follow the ISO recommended International Standard ISO 13053 – 1 and ISO 13053 – 2
